Nearby Lake Matheson is renowed for its reflections of New Zealand's highest mountains. Lake Matheson has an excellent walking track around it for all fitness levels.Fox Glacier has a rich variety of walks for all levels, including the glacier valley walk that takes you to the terminal face of this icy giant.

Cancellation Policy:
We require 48 hours notice of a cancellation or a charge of one night's accommodation will be made if your room cannot be re-let. Not showing up at all will incur a charge of one night's accommodation. Any change to a confirmed reservation on, or within 48 hours of your arrival may incur a charge. Any accommodation booking requests made with a credit card via this web site are subject to this cancellation policy unless we respond stating that we can not accommodate your request.
Smoking Policy:
Smoking will not be tolerated in any of our units. For those who wish to smoke, you are more than welcome to do so outside and ashtrays have been provided for that purpose. Please leave your unit door and window shut while you smoke, to ensure no smoke enters the unit. Please note that if smoke is detected in a unit there will be a charge of $250.00 in order to return the unit to its non-smoking status. Not only does the effect of smoking taint the atmosphere within the units, there is considerable cost incurred with the need to clean the carpets, nets, curtains and bedding in order to return the said units to their original clean status. Furthermore, those units are often unable to be rented for two or three days after such actions.
